A ten-year-old girl’s parents jet off to Africa to join an aid project, leaving her in the care of an inattentive aunt, whose life oscillates between wild parties and hangovers. After her aunt goes off sailing with her boyfriend, the girl is left to fend for herself. She must learn to navigate the tricky waters of the grown-up world, while still trying to live the life of a child.
