In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched eight strikes on Russian personnel and military equipment clusters. The Ukrainian military also destroyed an enemy Su-25 aircraft.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Additionally, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian command post, three enemy personnel and military equipment clusters, two radar stations, one electronic warfare system, and one air defense missile system in firing position.
According to the General Staff, despite huge losses, Russian troops continue conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions.
Since the Russian army is unable to defeat Ukraine’s Defense Forces, Russia causes terror against civilians, opening fire on peaceful settlements in violation of international humanitarian law.
Over the past day, Russian troops have launched three missile strikes (namely, on civil infrastructure in the city of Kharkiv), 26 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 23 times.
The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.
In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected. Russian soldiers are undergoing military training within Belarusian training grounds. Enemy units are remaining deployed within the border areas.
Over the past day, Russian invaders have opened fire on the Chernihiv region’s Khrinivka; the Sumy region’s Atunske, Volfyne, Stepne, Kindrativka, Pokrovka and Hrabovske; and the Kharkiv region’s Strilecha, Krasne, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky, Ambarne and Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian occupiers continue attempts to break through the defense of Ukrainian forces. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Bilohorivka and Spirne. Russian invaders launched artillery strikes near the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Kupiansk and Krokhmalne; the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske, Nevske, Dibrova and Bilohorivka; and the Donetsk region’s Kolodiazi, Siversk, Spirne and Fedorivka.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops continue storming the city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Bohdanivka.
In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Stepove, Kamianka, Sieverne, Marinka and Vuhledar.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian occupiers were holding defense. The enemy opened fire on settlements, which are situated close to the contact line, namely the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and the Kherson region’s Tokarivka, Antonivka and Kherson.
Following Ukraine’s effective strikes on enemy clusters on March 12-13, 2023, resulting in huge losses, Russian invaders are tightening control measures across certain settlements in the Kherson region’s temporarily occupied areas. They usually move in civilian cars seized from local residents. On March 14, 2023, a convoy of Russians was spotted driving towards the temporarily occupied Crimea with looted property.
In another settlement of the Kherson region, Russian occupiers are carrying out ‘counter-sabotage measures’. Justifying their actions, they are accusing the villagers of killing a Russian soldier, whose body was found.
