DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged there are ’particular areas of the wall that need renovation, particular projects that need to be finished.’ Specifically, these ’particular projects’ included ’gaps’, ’gates’, and places ’where the wall has been completed but the technology has not been implemented.’ A Politico report showed 53% of Americans supported construction of the border wall.
