On December 20, 2022, Russian troops launched mortar strikes on a border community in the Sumy region.
The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today Russians have been shelling the Znob-Novhorodske community with mortars. Nineteen mortar shells exploded within the border areas. No casualties or destructions were reported,” Zhyvytskyi wrote.
A reminder that, on December 20, 2022, Ukrainian border guards shot down an enemy reconnaissance drone in the Sumy region.
