我不是你的媽，但這是你的家
一個完整的家庭，需要的是緊密相連的血緣，還是愛與陪伴？3年前喪子的夫妻陳天美(鄭秀文 飾)與何彬(陸駿光 飾)，困窘的經濟狀況與無處發洩的母愛，讓天美決定成為寄養父母，重拾做母親的心願。
每個短暫停留的孩子，有些讓人頭痛、有些讓人心疼，她全心全意地付出漸漸變成一意孤行，與丈夫何彬越來越疏離…一個家該如何重新完整每顆破碎的心？
DIRECTOR: Ka Sing Fung
A former journalist, Ka has directed and written several short films, including the documentary “The Art Of Cantonese-Style Congee” in 2017, the 13th Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival entry A BIRD GOES BY and closing short film Gai Dan Chai (Co-directed and co-wrote with Belgian director Kato De Boeck) in 2019. Other works include 1043RD “Day On Minibus”- winner of Best Microfilm Silver Award, Best Microfilm Actor and Best Microfilm Screenplay at the 7th Microfilm Project in 2019 – and short film “Check Please” in 2020. In 2019, LOST LOVE, which Ka co-wrote and directed, was chosen as a project of the 6th First Feature Film Initiative – Professional Group, receiving funding of HK$8 million from the Hong Kong government’s Film Development Fund. The film was finished in 2022.
SYNOPSIS
When a couple lose their 3-year-old child to congenital heart disease, the mother resists having another child. Still yearning for the feeling of being a mother, she and her husband decide to become foster parents. The children they adopt come with problems and her over-focus on them causes the husband to feel lonely, so he seeks another woman’s attention. When the couple fight the foster children step-in and inspire the couple to heal their relationship.
Parenting means raising and nurturing children, but oftentimes children enrich and enlighten the lives of parents instead. LOST LOVE is an impressive debut by first feature film director Ka Sing Fung examining a marital relationship through a foster family as well as . He said, “This film is about how life continues. When one’s child is gone, can the love for them live on? I believe so. In this film, the parents’ love for their son live on through other children.”
