It’s been eight months since the G20 and the iconic images are still with us, but that’s not the whole story of Toronto’s G20. The program presents a revealing newstreet-level perspective of what happened by the startling new images captured on cell phones and mini-cams by the innocent bystanders who were swept up in the huge police dragnet.

導演塔摩‧薇恩史坦自加拿大多倫多大學取得政治學博士之後，即為加拿大國營電視台旗下的新聞雜誌量身打造紀錄片，初試啼聲就嶄露頭角，著手拍攝全世界都極度關切的以色列、波士尼亞、科索沃、塞爾維亞與馬其頓等地的烽火戰場。在執掌「第五權」的紀錄片節目以後，穩紮穩打地拍了十一年。她所製作的單元主題包羅萬象，包括政治、文化差異、醫療資源等社會問題，在《誰叫你不乖》這部影片中，不難看出導演的用意是要防止民眾的聲音被國家公權力所覆蓋。她的博士論文其實就是以以色列的和平運動為例，探討社會運動如何構成一種抗議行為。導演乖乖地在學校裡完成博士論文，取得學位，但踏入社會後可不再是個「乖乖牌」了。
Tamar Weinstein completed a PhD in Political Science at the University of Toronto. Her thesis was about how social movements mobilize for protest. Prior to working at the fifth estate, Tamar worked at the CBC’s National Magazine and The Journal. She has been working as a director/producer at the preeminent investigative documentary show, the fifth estate, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) for the last 11 years. She also directed a story that looks into the challenges of the only supervised injection site operating in Vancouver, British Columbia.
