World Bank mobilizes additional $4.5B in support to Ukraine – Shmyhal

The World Bank has mobilized an additional $4.5 billion for ongoing assistance to Ukraine, which will help the country meet its urgent needs during the winter period.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

“The funds will help us meet urgent needs during the winter period. I am grateful to Axel von Trotsenburg and Anna Bjerde for their strong support to Ukraine,” he wrote.

As Ukrinform reported, last week Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting with World Bank Vice President Anna Bjerde discussed support for Ukraine’s state budget for 2023, as well as joint programs in the sectors of energy, transport and healthcare.
