CNA:India and Pakistan ‘still quite far’ from tipping point of nuclear conflict: Analyst 20250508


Fears of a larger conflict in South Asia are growing, after India on Wednesday (May 7) launched strikes into Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir against what it called terrorist camps. At least 43 people have been killed in the worst confrontation between the two nuclear-armed rivals in more than two decades. Derek Grossman, senior defense analyst at American think tank RAND Corporation, shares his insights with CNA’s Asia Now.
